• Full legal name, date of birth, and contact details (email address, phone number)
• Government-issued identification: PAN card number, Aadhaar number
• Bank account details and IFSC codes for payment processing
• Financial information including income declarations and net worth statements
• IP address, device identifiers, and browser information collected automatically
• Communication records including emails, queries, and support interactions
• Documents uploaded during KYC verification (e.g., cancelled cheque, address proof)

2. How We Use Information

We process your personal data for the following purposes:

• KYC Verification: Identity and address verification conducted through TransBnk, our authorised KYC Registration Agency (KRA)
• Investment Processing: Payment collection and reconciliation via Razorpay Payment Gateway
• Regulatory Compliance: Fulfilling obligations under SEBI AIF Regulations 2012, Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), and RBI guidelines
• Investor Communications: Sending fund updates, NAV statements, regulatory disclosures, and material events
• Due Diligence: Accreditation verification for SEBI Accredited Investor status
• Platform Operations: Authentication, fraud prevention, and technical support

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Data is shared only as necessary with the following parties:

• TransBnk: Our KYC Registration Agency for identity and address verification as mandated by SEBI and PMLA regulations
• Razorpay Financial Solutions Pvt. Ltd.: For secure payment processing; they are bound by PCI-DSS compliance standards
• SEBI, RBI, and other regulators: As required by law, regulation, or court order
• Portfolio Companies: Anonymised aggregate data only; no individual investor PII is shared
• Auditors and Legal Advisors: Under strict confidentiality obligations

All third-party processors are contractually required to maintain confidentiality and use your data only for the specified purpose.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information:

• 256-bit AES encryption for data at rest; TLS 1.3 for data in transit
• Access controls with role-based permissions and multi-factor authentication for staff
• Secure cloud infrastructure with regular penetration testing
• No storage of full Aadhaar numbers — only the last 4 digits are retained post-verification
• Regular security audits and staff training on data protection

While we take all reasonable precautions, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. You share information at your own risk.

5. Data Retention

In accordance with SEBI AIF Regulations 2012 and the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, we retain investor records for a minimum period of 7 years from the date of the last transaction or the closure of your account, whichever is later.

After the mandatory retention period, personal data is securely deleted or anonymised unless we are required to retain it longer under applicable law.

6. Your Rights

Subject to applicable Indian law, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
• Deletion: Request deletion of data where retention is no longer legally required; note that regulatory obligations may prevent deletion during the mandatory retention period
• Objection: Object to processing for marketing purposes
• Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format where technically feasible

7. Cookies

The ArtVentures Fund platform uses session cookies only. These are strictly necessary for platform functionality (e.g., maintaining login state, CSRF protection) and are deleted when you close your browser.
